Paperback release and self editing

      \(!!^o^)~Paperback release wooooooo!!!!!

Since this is my first novel I did quite a bit of research when I was first thinking about getting the story published. Originally I did go the 'literary agent & publisher' route but alas no one wanted a bar of me, what made it even harder was that the agents and publishers wouldn't give me any feedback, I just got the "sorry your manuscript is unsuccessful, because of the large number of submissions we receive we do not give feedback on the manuscripts we reject." Which is fair enough, but some sort of feedback would've been nice.

The feedback I did get from people was interesting, one person said they didn't like the colour of Ravage's hair because there is no such thing as 'midnight purple', another commented that they didn't like the names of the characters and another said that my language was too colloquial. These were all quite trivial so I mostly very much dismissed them. But anyway, it will be good to get some more feedback soon (^_^!)

So during my research I decided to go with self publishing, kindle seemed the best choice and through kindle I found out about createspace (which was awesome coz I really wanted a printed copy!) I also read that you should never edit your own book, at first I thought that was solid advice, but then I was like narrrr I can do it..... that was a bad choice! There's just things you don't see even though they're right in front of your face! I was amazed by some of the smallest things I missed! I guessed it was mostly because as I knew what was already going to happen in the story I just skimmed over the words and watched a little movie in my head haha, so that was a good lesson!

I'm going to start writing the second book as soon as I finish Crimson Sapphires which should hopefully be soon! Things have been hectic round these parts lately! The days need more hours in them!!!! I'm excited that the paperback is out and  thinking up all the ideas for the next book has been really fun! Some big things are going to happen!!!
