The Crimson Sapphires.

 

      The Crimson Sapphires is a short story you can read for free on wattpad. If you haven't heard about wattpad before (I'm only new to it as well) it's a free app you can download for your phone which lets you read lots of free stories from many different genres. If you're not really down with phone apps and what-not there is also a website for it which is wattpad.com



      The Crimson Sapphires is a prelude to Born of the Phoenix taking place seven years before the events of the first novel. The main purpose of the story is to introduce you to Ravage and Patsy (two of the main heroines) and to give you a snapshot of their lives and a small taste of their personalities. Hopefully it also gives you a feeling of what life is like living in Sapphiron.

      I haven't finished writing it yet but continually add parts to it when I get time. It's quite fun exploring Ravage & Patsy's early days and getting into some of their shenanigans. I hope you enjoy reading it (^_^!)

      Here's the synopsis:

      The champions of old have passed. The end of heroes has befallen the continent of Sapphiron and with no mighty warriors of valour and chivalry the moral conscious of the people is falling into decline. Born a Larrosan descendant Ravage faces not only the dangers of living on a continent fraught with monsters and sorcery but also constant prejudice yet her strong soul does not wither under adversity, the challenges only temper her unyielding constitution forging a soul that burns with indomitable fortitude. With a hideous shorku devouring the flesh of hapless travellers on the outskirts of her home town of Delepode Ravage finds herself interwoven with the violent events that are taking place all around her.
